The Lumbee Native American tribe played a big part in Pembroke's history and continues to play a big role in its present. These young women were representatives of the tribe in their traditional costumes.

- On Nov. 16, 2019, John Pregulman photographed Sonia via Skype at her apartment in Sarasota, FL. John and his wife Amy Israel Pregulman founded Kavod, an organization with two missions:
(1) to photograph every surviving Holocaust survivor (Sonia was the 1,065th survivor John photographed); and
(2) to collect and distribute money to Holocaust survivors who live in poverty. (In 2019, Kavod expects to distribute $1 million.)

- On Dec. 21 and 22, 2021, Talia Weisberg, a mentee and friend of Sonia's for 10 years, and her husband, Evan, visited Sonia. Sonia and Talia had never met or spoken on the phone before although they'd been in almost daily contact by email for the 10 years. Talia and Evan live in Cambridge, MA but were in Boynton Beach, FL on a two-week vacation, staying with Evan’s grandparents and drove up to spend two days with Sonia. When Talia first contacted Sonia, Talia was a 16-year-old student at a Modern Orthodox high school in NYC. Then she was offered a full scholarship to Harvard, went there, graduated, got married, and, at the time of the visit, was doing post-graduate study. Talia's intention is to open a Jewish temple with Evan that will treat women equally. This photo was taken in front of Aviva, where Sonia lives, just before Talia and Evan left Sarasota.

- On October 13, 2022, Sonia and Richard Weingarten, both residents of Aviva Senior Living, had a memorial service at Aviva for former resident, Joe Newman, an extraordinary man who had died a little over a year before at the age of 108. Joe had started the Socrates Café at Aviva, a discussion group, which Richard is continuing, and had sought election to the U.S. House of Representatives when he was 101. These pictures are of Richard and Sonia, the attendees at the memorial service, and Joe Newman.

- Richard Weingarten, head of the Socrates Café (a discussion group at Aviva, the Jewish senior residence where Sonia lives), and Sonia, arranged for Professor Amy Reid of New College of Florida, Florida's only honors college, to speak at the Socrates Café on the evening of Jan. 28. Professor Reid, who is a longtime friend of Sonia's, is a professor of French & Gender Studies and is Director of the Gender Studies department at New College. She spoke about the actions of Governor Ron DeSantis of Florida to change the nature of New College from a liberal, nondenominational college to a conservative, Christian college.
- On Feb. 25, 2023, Sonia took her trainer at Aviva, Margie Pacher (who recently left Aviva to move to Raleigh, NC), out to lunch at Rico's restaurant at 1902 Bay Road in Sarasota for vegan pizza. The several Rico's restaurants in Sarasota are under separate managements and the Bay Road Rico's is the only one that serves vegan food.
- Sonia, taken after a one-woman show by Heather Massie, presented at Aviva by the Sarasota Jewish Theatre, about actress and inventor Hedy Lamarr on 2/27/23.
- Sonia with her friends, Liz Alpert and Jim Barber, whose wedding she attended about five years ago, having lunch at Aviva on Aug. 26, 2023. Liz is a former mayor of Sarasota.

- Chautauqua Institution, 2010
The Chautauqua Institution is a nonprofit education center and summer resort for adults and youth located on 2,070 acres in Chautauqua, New York, 17 miles northwest of Jamestown in the Western Southern Tier of New York State. Sonia spent a week there on several occasions, during one of which she was a speaker to the Road Scholars group at the Atheneum Hotel. Sonia took various photographs at Chautauqua from June 27-July 3, 2010.
