Some, but not all, of the pictures in this slide show have captions that identify what is in the picture. When you click on a picture, you will see an enlargement of it and to the right of the picture you will see a caption that identifies it. If that caption does not appear, it may be because that picture does not have a caption, but it may also be because you have to do the following for the caption to appear. On the left-hand side of the upper tool bar against a white background, there is a lower-case "i" in a circle next to an arrow. Click on that "i" and if that slide has a caption, it will appear to the right of the picture. Once a caption appears for one picture, it will appear for all and you do not have to click the "i" again. When you want to exit that picture, click on the arrow to the left of the"i."

The Chautauqua Institution is a nonprofit education center and summer resort for adults and youth located on 2,070 acres in Chautauqua, New York, 17 miles northwest of Jamestown in the Western Southern Tier of New York State. Sonia spent a week there on several occasions, during one of which she was a speaker to the Road Scholars group at the Atheneum Hotel. Sonia took various photographs at Chautauqua from June 27-July 3, 2010.
