Erratic Impact Has A New Look!

bk bk

Upgrades and New Templates

We're working hard on updating the entire Philosophy Research Base, and while we're doing so, we've decided to re-design the site once again.  This time, we're enlarging the font, and so, also resizing the pages.  In doing so, those with the old 640 pixel wide screen resolution might need to scroll horizontally in order to see all the features on each page.  But 800 wide resolution and up should enjoy a much more full-featured visual experience.

Encyclopedic Entries for Philosophers and Topics

As we update each page, we're expanding from our old directory format to include a concise encyclopedic entry on each topic and author.  Plus, each entry will include linked keywords and related topical links as well.

Banner Advertising Now Available

Erratic Impact currently receives over 150,000 unique, highly focused page views a month. Banner advertising at Erratic Impact is an easy way to bring that targeted audience to your product, site, or service. For as little as $2 per thousand impressions (CPM), we can rotate your ad on our most popular subject pages and sub-webs to an audience that matches your interest, your market and your expertise.

Three types of Rotating Banner Ads are available:

Book Promotions

We love books! And we love promoting philosophy on the world wide web. If you have published work in philosophy or related fields and your work has an ISBN, we can help make your work available to our visitors.

Become a Philosopher's Friend

As there are friends and patrons of the Arts, so also are there friends and patrons of Philosophy!

Our Sponsorship Program is an easy, economical way to let the world know you support the worldwide community of online philosophers. For only $5 a month ($30/six month minimum), your "Philosopher's Friend" text box will rotate throughout the 15 philosophy webs, always appearing 'above the fold' at the top of the left navigational column.

Find More Books, Journals, Magazines

bk bk

Each new page at Erratic Impact includes a keyworded book finding feature box with links to both U.S. and international book sellers.  As always, we offer links to both new and used books at powells.com, and now the international family of web sites at Amazon.  We continue to enjoy affiliate partnerships with fifteen different online booksellers.  If you ever want more book buying choices, just click on the "More Booksellers" link, or the "Books" link at the top and bottom of every page of the directory.

And, by the way, we really appreciate it when you buy books from this site!  The small commission we receive definitely helps us offset the cost of running and maintaining this site.  Thank you!

We drank lots of champagne! January 15, 2004 marked Erratic Impact's fifth anniversary!  What started out as a research tool for students enrolled in philosophy courses at Villanova University, Erratic Impact has grown to become one of the premier philosophy web sites on the World Wide Web. This semester we're receiving over 150,000 unique page views per month.

We want to thank everyone for making this philosophy research site a success!  Clink Clink
